Hot

The temperature reached 100 degrees here today. It is hazy, hot, and humid, one of those miserable triple H summer days. The newscaster was asking everyone to conserve energy so I did not cook dinner. It was the perfect night for a big salad. We did go to Cold Stone for ice cream. Half the town was there. The other half of town was across the street getting an Italian Ice from Rita’s.

What do you do to stay cool on hot summer days?

it's not quite as hot here in Camarillo as it is most other places around southern California. There are supposed to be thunder showers possibly next week. Hope we get some good rain.

Yummy gelati, the pink and lemon flavour ice is supurb.
To keep cool, we used to run aroung under the sprinklers when I was a kid, now, with the water restrictions, it is not going to happen.
I usually play dead fish with the kids on the floor to keep cool. Drinking iced water and all that too.
Here, in contrast, it was 2 degrees celcius overnight, soon to be cooler yet..:(

We haven't hit that temp yet this year.
I feel for you! Fingers crossed the mercury will fall a tad.

I just told my son I would rather have no money for food than to go without ac, at least for sleeping. I can stand anything during the day.

What do I do in the sizzling heat? I sit under a vent in my air conditioned home feeling like a trapped prisoner. Of course, it does give me time to do my favorite activity...blogging!

In the Philippines, we all head for the beach during hot summer days.

Now, however, the rainy season has come upon us and I must admit I find the cooler temperature a welcome respite. ;p
