Christmas Spirit

The first snowfall of the season is covering my world with soft puffy blankets of white. The house is filled with the cinnamony smell of gumdrop cake. The lights twinkle on the tree. Silent Night is playing on the radio. Three Christmas cards and my order from Amazon arrived in the mail.

I am officially in the Christmas spirit.

So lovely..it is strange, I guess, for you to read my blog and see that we have Summer here at Christmas and we do not have frost or snow but we do have cinnamon and all the other things that make it feel like Christmas to us. Then we have the light displays that people put on from their own private houses. Made easier to drive or walk around on a warm Summer's night.
Our Nanny, who flew home to Germany, thought it funny that we play Christmas tunes that relate to a cold wintery white kind of time..when we are in fact in Summer. I am thinking of making up a summery song related to Christmas here Down Under.. haha

Don't forget to stir your coffee with peppermint candy canes.

So nice...I loved your Christmas tree post too. I'm trying to get in the spirit. A little bit of that snow is hanging on, but we're having dripping.

Gumdrop cake! Is Dad leaving any left in the black gumdrop dish for me?
