Christianity

I am reading a good book called “Abide with Me” by Elizabeth Strout. It is the story of a New England minister as he struggles with life after his wife's death.

I like this man's definition of Christianity. He says that being a Christian is not a hobby. Being a Christian is serious stuff. Being a Christian means asking yourself every step of the way, “How can love best be served?”

Do you think that this is a good definition?

I think that's a good working definition. But the non-working one would acknowledge the One whose love saved us. :) I've seen that book, is it a good one? Should I add it to my looong list?

I think George Burns said it very well.
'The heart is the temple where all truth resides'.
We really, really do know the difference between right and wrong.
Putting that knowledge into practice is our charge.

I like that definition. Cuts to the heart of the matter.
