Tonight our family gathered to celebrate DQ's sixteenth birthday. We had steak, baked potatoes and Caesar salad at the birthday boy's request. Of course we had chocolate birthday cake. I love that my family lives close enough that we can frequently celebrate together.
DQ was adopted into our family when he was three years old. We love this boy and rejoice that he is ours.

I have no idea how I celebrated 16, but I'm glad you and DQ could celebrate together. May 16 treat him well...16 around here has been pretty rough. C'mon 17.
Will DQ get his driver's license?..
My b-day is on Christmas so every one is pretty much celebrating anyway.
I did get my first driver's license a day or two later when the DMV opened up.

I don't remember my 16th...I'm pretty sure it was just a sleepover or something.
The Child, on the other hand, is already planning hers and that's still over a year away!
